Amidst these idyllic surroundings, 30 years ago, the Bastide de Saint-Tropez was born. To be true to the Saint-Tropez spirit we intend to make the most of this auspicious occasion, thereby opening the season of summer festivals and events in the area. Join us for a unique celebration in paradise!

The Bastide de Saint-Tropez; a love story above all

It was in 1985 that Janine and Boris-Serge Sidoroff discovered something that made their hearts beat a little faster. It was an abandoned vineyard on the Route des Carles, a short way from the harbour. The couple fell in love with the exquisitely scenic location and decided to build a hotel there. Their concept? To share their love of the region and at the same time provide a service that would be both upscale and relaxing, in a setting of incredible charm.

Thanks to the creative genius of the architect François Vieillecroze, the Bastide opened to present 26 luxurious rooms within an exceptional building, surrounded by lush and exotic gardens with a beautiful blue lagoon in their midst. The first customers were seduced by the intimacy and warmth they found, and the hotel was an immediate success, attracting celebrities seeking a place to replenish their energies.

A heartfelt project and a constant striving for excellence

Splendid even when it opened, the Bastide has nonetheless come a long way in 30 years of fulfilling desires and introducing innovative ideas. For 7 years, Janine and Boris-Serge Sidoroff have enjoyed the honour of being a part of the Relais & Châteaux network, and in 2011 gained the distinction of becoming a five star service.

The couple, both gourmets, offer a locally-oriented gastronomic experience in two locations: the Bistr'O de La Bastide and the Restaurant Gastronomique l’Olivier. Since 2015, when the Carita spa was established, all guests can enjoy treatments designed to enhance wellbeing and benefit from the expert hands of renowned beauticians. And this year, thanks to our new barbecue, you can enjoy even more of the good life, Saint-Tropez style. Simply relax by the pool and witness the skill of our chef, who will cook your pizzas, pasta, squid, or prawns à la plancha as you wish.

A glamorous and colourful anniversary

On June 23rd, we invite you to the 30th anniversary celebration of the Bastide, in partnership with the annual launch of the magazine The Collector de Saint-Tropez. The cocktail reception will be held outside, beneath the deep blue of the Mediterranean sky. Enjoy a glass of champagne in the company of guests in a convivial atmosphere by the pool, to the accompaniment of jazz. Then, why not take the opportunity to stay longer at the Bastide? July in Saint-Tropez is full of surprises...

Saint-Tropez is synonymous with fun, festivity and friendliness. Come and find out why! After the Bastide’s anniversary celebration you can stay to savour the festival atmosphere and share with Tropéziens the joy of music and the spectacle of fireworks!

At the Pesquière in Saint-Tropez, live music is in the spotlight at the beginning of July! As a couple, with friends or with family, you can lose yourself in the moment and dance through the night! The performances begin each evening at 21:30. On July 5th, the folk band Pavillon Noir present Songs of the Sea. On July 6th, the Pesquière will play host to the gypsy jazz band The Swingsons. And, on July 7th, let yourself be amazed by wonderful Corsican polyphony, with the vocal group A Vuciata.

Finally, don’t miss out on July 14th. This is, of course, Bastille Day, a French national holiday, and in Saint-Tropez you can thrill to a magnificent fireworks display launched from a ship in the bay. Enjoy the charming harbour splashed by the colours erupting in the sky before finishing the night celebrating this commemorative occasion!
