Where to head?

New season at Bastide Saint-Tropez

For the new 2017 season, we’ve redecorated some of our rooms. Why not discover them for yourself and enjoy a more romantic Valentine's Day? And, since we’re talking about the sweet feast of love, it’s time to take you into our confidence. We’ve heard rumours that Oliver, the head of our gourmet restaurant, and his team have been working at their stoves for some time. Pans, spatulas and whips have been brought out and the fragrance of many deliciously aromatic sauces filled the air. Pasta has been kneaded, meat braised, vegetables slices and thousands of different combinations of colour, flavour and textures have been tried out. Today, we’re delighted to announce that this Valentine’s meal will be exceptional! But hush! The final menu is still a secret.
Stroll overlooking the sea
If you’re coming to Saint-Tropez with your loved one, you’re sure to enjoy an easy and romantic walk along the coastal path.
From the Canebiers beach, the signposted path leads to Pampelonne beach and a loop through the interior makes it possible to return to the starting point without making a U-turn. It’s a nice stroll of about 12.5 km and although it’s not difficult you should still wear good walking shoes. The route talks about 4 hours if you walk slowly.
The trail crosses several fine sandy beaches and winds between rocks and maquis and you’ll see some of Saint-Tropez’s beautiful villas before you turn towards the sea. There are lots of small coves that are suitable for picnic breaks and a few steep rocky sections for added thrills. There is magnificent scenery as far as the eye can see; the sea on one side and the Provençal maquis on the other. You will appreciate the silence and you’ll love the feel of the sand under your shoes and stones warmed by the February sun beneath your hand. An easy but invigorating walk to try before you return to nestle in your cosy and comfortable room at the Bastide Saint-Tropez!
